After a long flight home (too long), I was informed at the airport that one bag was still in Frankfurt, but assured that my other bag was indeed on the plane from there. I waited and waited, and that one still did not turn up. I walked out after filing my missing bag paperwork with Lufthansa and walked out to meet Dad and Aunt Celeste with my puppy. We walked to the car and came back home, after stopping for a burrito in Montclair. That next evening, I was again assured that both my bags would be delivered that evening but only one arrived! The next three days were spent calling back and forth with SFO and Lufthansa, while my second suitcase full of presents and dirty clothes had an adventure of its own. Finally, on Christmas eve, I received a call from Lufthansa. My bag was found in Munich. Strange, because I did not fly through Munich at all. But now, all my bags are in my possession and this adventure is complete. I'm almost done with all my laundry (finally) and getting ready for my first ski day of the season tomorrow.
This entire semester has been incredible. I can't even begin to express how lucky I am. I finally have a better idea of what it is I want to do, where I want to be and who I am. Who I'm going to be, only time can really tell that one, but who I am is coming a little clearer. Where I'm happy is definitely clear. Skiing, traveling, adventuring. I want my life to be one big, gigantic adventure. But this was one phenomenal beginning.
